“revo coaching has transformed my running!”
“revo coaching enabled me to complete my first marathon in 2023 which I would never have considered possible. Coach Rich focuses on the “process” and getting the basics of pacing right. As well as being massively motivating and very down to earth, he’s a great listener and helps you work out for yourself any obstacles or “blockers” in your running.
In short, revo coaching has transformed my running!
Rich can also help you start to enjoy your running again, because you are running with a purpose, whether that purpose is to enjoy the countryside or run to improve your personal best time.
If you are a new or intermediate level runner who is not sure what you are doing and/or need help working out what you want from running, then you need to choose Rich at revo coaching as your coach.”

“There is no way I would have ran a PB without the training programme“
I had been planning to start using Rich at revo coaching to try to get my parkrun PB down to under 25 minutes. However, by the time I signed up I was coming off a very sedentary summer and my time had gone up to around 28 minutes. I set a new goal of getting back to around the 26 minute mark in the space of eight weeks, and hoped that that would be doable (but had no idea if this was reasonable or not). After reviewing this with Rich, he was very confident that it was.
The sessions Rich planned for me were made to be very flexible so as to fit around my schedule, and he was always at hand to answer any questions which I had. He was also very clear about what the sessions entailed and the reasons as to why they were set, always with my running goal in mind.
The training initially consisted of giving me some structure by running regularly a few times a week, then interval training was incorporated to get me used to running faster. I grew to really enjoy these interval sessions, though I did wonder whether I would be able to achieve my desired time by the end of the programme. I trusted Rich’s judgement when he continued to tell me that the variety of speed and endurance training I had implemented would mean I could do it.
On the final day of the programme I planned to run a parkrun to see how fast I was now able to run. I was determined to try my best to beat my PB of 25:51, and was completely ecstatic when I discovered I had finished in 24:38!
There is no way I would have ran a PB without the training programme Rich at revo coaching put in place for me, and I am incredibly grateful. I now hope to use the lessons learned from this experience to try to get into the 23’s!

“I’m now targeting a podium finish at the Duathlon World Champs in 2025!”
“revo coaching has been instrumental in changing how I train and condition for my races.
What Rich describes to me as small improvement techniques have been absolute game changers and have transformed my athletic performance.
Since working with revo coaching over the last 3 years, I have represented Great Britain 5 times, made my England Age Group Team running debut, ran a sub-3 Marathon, and have placed 5th in my Age Group in Europe & 7th in the World in Olympic distance Duathlon.
It just wouldn’t have been possible without the guidance from Rich at revo.
With his ongoing support I’m now targeting a podium finish at the Duathlon World Champs in 2025!”

“I found the weekly feedback..really kept me engaged“
Last year I decided to take the plunge and get some proper coaching to improve my running. A couple of members of my running club had recently undertaken some coaching and the improvement in their performance had not gone unnoticed. I decided to approach the same coach as they had used; Rich at revo coaching, and I’m so glad I did because it completely transformed my running performance, my form and my enjoyment of training.
When I first discussed my goals with Rich, I was aiming for a sub 25 minute park run. I felt that I depleted during my runs and ran out of power and no amount of training seemed to be able to stop this happening. Rich took a look at my stats and devised a training plan. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the program that Rich designed for me. It was tailored to my fitness levels and crucially, my endurance levels so I was able to improve without pushing things too far.
Instead of focusing on running a certain amount of miles, I was able to focus on all of the other things that in the end make the difference between coasting while going for a run, or really developing yourself as a runner. He provided enough scaffolding to get my performance up and clear instructions on how to compound my gains. I found the weekly feedback and adjustments to my program to reflect my progress really kept me engaged and, needless to say, I remain an avid follower of Rich’s rules to this day
Not only did I smash my sub 25 minute goal, I ran a parkrun in 23.33 after just six weeks on Rich’s program, and I’ve continued to improve!
I thoroughly recommend using revo coaching if you are looking to improve and take on some new challenges.

“After implementing structure in my training my times have continued to fall“
“Having a running history of distance and endurance, I had set my eyes on realising some PB’s at shorter distances. I had been using a mixture of following YouTube runners and asking for advice from my running community in order to improve my times and general running fitness. I saw some small success but felt I needed more. That’s where Rich at revo coaching came in.
Rich looked to understand my current fitness levels, life commitments and the goals I wanted to achieve in order to put together a structured training plan. From our conversations it was clear that putting a focus on sessions (intervals, hills and tempo runs) were going to be the key. We regularly discussed strategy, and I started to train intelligently as opposed to doing non-productive sessions. After implementing structure in my training my times have continued to fall and I’ve avoided injury. I’m also a lot more comfortable in the uncomfortable zones of a session, or a race.
In retrospect, I’ve realised I didn’t really know what I was doing when it came to my training. Now, I have the benefit of Rich’s experience and knowledge which I can take forward with me.
I’ve achieved this year’s goal and I’m already well on the way to completing the goal I set myself for next year!”
